Khulna University Admission Units

Khulna University started its journey of education with only four subjects. Now The university has the opportunity of 29 undergraduate subjects. For easier admission management and subject operation, the university has been divided into four units. Each unit has its similes type of subjects.

A Unit

A unit of KU is consist of Science, Engineering, Technology and Biology. All the subject related to science is included here. You can easily take admission by appearing on KU A unit admission test.

B Unit

B unit is for Arts or Humanities Group. It contains a few subjects like Sociology, Law, Arts, etc. Take admission in KU B unit, if you want to learn about literature, law, etc. There are about 400 seats available for B unit.

C Unit

C Unit is for Business Studies group. This Unit is consists of Management, Marketing and Business administration related subjects. The aim of KU C unit is to develop thoughts about the global economic market.

D Unit

KU D unit is about arts and culture. In this unit, students are taught about Fine arts and culture. It is neither science nor arts. All students can admit in this unit. But Science students get preference the most.

Khulna University Subject List

It is known to us that in 1991 when Khulna University was established, It had only four subject. Now, in the passage of time, the university has 29 different subjects. He have listed all the subject according to the Units.

KU A Unit Subject list

KU A unit has 15 subjects and 662 seats with some reserve seats. Basically The duration of all the courses of A unit is four year but Architecture students need to study five years to complete their honors level.

On total 662 seats, 30 seats are reserved for Freedom fighter and Ethenic group. Moreover, there are 2 extra seats for BKSP students.

Khulna University B Unit Subjects

KU B Unit is consist of 4 schools. They are Social Science school, Law school, Education school and Arts & Humanities school. Nine subjecs are available in these 4 schools. The subjects are given below facultywise.

Arts and Humanities

With 3 subjects, English, Bengal, History and Civilization, Arts and Humanities school are formed. It has a total of 67 seats where English and Bengali department has 57 seats on the other hand History and Civilization has 10 seats.

Social Science School

The school of Social Science is consists of 4 subjects with a total of 180 seats available. The subject names and seat distribution are given below.

1. Sociology
2. Economics
3. Development Studies
4. Journalism and Mass Communication

School of Law

School of Law has only one subject named Law. There are 40 seats available for the subject. Among the 40 seats 1 seat is for Freedom fighters and 1 seat is for ethnic groups of Banladesh.

School of Education

This Education Department is opened for researching different education systems and methods. It has only 25 seats where 2 seats are reserved for freedom fighter’s family and ethnic groups of BD.

All these are the subjects of the B Unit. There are total 312 seats available where 18 seats are reserved for Ethnic people and Freedom fighter’s family.

KU C Unit Subjects

On C unit, there are only two subjects. They are Business Administration and Human Resource Managment. There are total 95 seats are available for these two subjects.

Business Administration

This department is for Business Students group students only. The department has a total 55 seats where 53 seats are for general students and 2 seats (1+1) are for Ethnic people and Freedom fighter’s family.

Human Resource Management

KU has an important subject related to Business Studies. This subject has 40 seats in total. 2 of the total seats are for the quota system and rest 38 is for general students.

D Unit Subject list of Khulna University

As we know previously this unit is about Fine ats. This unit has 3 subjects. They are-

• Drawing and Painting
• Sculpture
• Printmaking

There are 20 seats available for each subject. That means there are a total 60 seats available in D Unit. Two seats are for the quota students.
